The Old Achimotan Association is the apex alumni organization for former Achimota School students in Ghana. To accomplish its objectives, the OAA authorizes the formation of regional, branch, and year groups. The OAA's members are referred to as "Akoras."The OAA was founded in 1929 by Rev. Alec G. Fraser, the first Principal of the then-Prince of Wales College, whose son Sandy Fraser, then a member of the Achimota School staff, served as the first organizing secretary. Sandy spent his vacations touring towns and villages where Old Achimotans were at work, attempting to convey the OAA's mission and objectives. On December 23, 1930, the OAA held its first Annual General Meeting at the school, which was followed by annual meetings thereafter. Three or four days were spent on the school's campus by the participants.
